Prof. Ronit Satchi-Fainaro, Principal Investigator of TIMNano, has received the prestigious Samyang Award in honor of Sung Wan Kim at the 2025 Controlled Release Society (CRS) Annual Meeting.
The award recognizes outstanding scientific contributions to the fields of drug delivery and nanomedicine, rewarding researchers whose work has significantly advanced the development of innovative therapeutic approaches.
Prof. Satchi-Fainaro’s research has contributed to the understanding and application of nanomedicine in oncology, with a particular focus on targeted therapies, tumour microenvironment modulation and immune-based approaches to cancer treatment. These research areas are closely connected to the scientific foundations of TIMNano, which aims to develop a Targeted Nano-Immune Modulator platform for gastrointestinal cancers.
The recognition highlights the scientific excellence behind the project and reinforces the importance of interdisciplinary research at the intersection of nanotechnology, immunology and cancer biology.
